The Potty Train

Drew has (finally) begun potty training. We are following the sticker route, and Drew decided that he wanted to draw a 'Potty Train' to put the stickers on. So he proceeded to draw this, and hang it on the wall in our bathroom. For those of you who can't tell, it's a train with two box cars carrying... what else.. Toilets.

Matthew and Drew in the bath

Drew and Matthew have started taking baths together recently, and I took a few snapshots the last time they took one. Check them out here

It's Christmas every day at the Sturgeon Household

Just when you thought it was safe to put away the Fruitcake... Oh we made it through Christmas alright, and Drew had a great time. But Drew has decided that it's not quite over yet. He keeps re-living Christmas. Every day he has 'pretend' Christmas. He'll go through the house, and gather up things (like tea, spoons, crayons, etc...) and put them in a box, and cover it with a dishtowel (wrapping paper), tape some string to the top (bow), then he has everybody go to 'sleep' in various parts of the downstairs (because Santa can't come when people are awake). Then he goes around and wakes everybody up saying "Merry Christmas... It's Christmas! Santa came and he brought you a present!" Then we all go open our 'presents' that Drew made us. Lot's of fun... although singing Christmas Carols is getting a bit old (he's actually singing Jingle Bells as I write this).

Living with a 3.5 year old can provide a wealth of interesting quotes. To that end, I have decided to add a section to the left hand side called "Drew's Quotes" where I will attempt to capture some of our favorites.

Enjoy!

I was goofing with Drew yesterday while he was playing with his Brio trains and I took a few pictures from an interesting perspective. I thought I'd post them here

We made it through Christmas. Ann's parents visited and we had a great time. Christmas day was spent opening - playing - opening - playing.. basically all day.

The next day, Joe, Drew and I went on a train trip from Vancouver to Centralia (Or as Drew likes to call it 'Australia'). Drew had a great time riding the train.
